Grief Rite Bible Study Open to Community

Date of Event: Feb. 21 – Mar. 28

This Grief Rite Bible Study is for people who are grieving or for those desiring to support those who are grieving. The group study helps participants use the Bible through this difficult time and does not involve counseling. Anyone in the community is invited to join this six-week course each Wednesday, Feb. 21 – Mar. 28 from 10 a.m. to Noon. The class will be led by the Rev. Ken Langsdorf, Pastor at Grace, and Sue Cobb. Please register by Feb. 14.

Everyone experiences the loss of loved ones in their lives, but each loss is different because relationships between individuals is different. This Bible study program seeks to provide a time of mourning and reflection as the study helps each participant with the grieving process using examples taken from the lives of biblical characters. Working thorough a personal workbook, participants will seek a time of introspection to help them understand the things that need to be learned and taken away from a loved one’s life and the death experience, to move closer to God.

An $8 cost covers workbook materials. To register for the class, please call the church at 828-693-4890 by Feb. 7 or register online at http://bit.ly/grief-rite. For further information, please call Sue Filson, Director of Adult Ministry, at 828-693-4890 ext. 304.
