Lenten Journey Using Music and Imagery for Spiritual Renewal

Grace Lutheran Church is offering a new way to delve into scripture during this season of Lent. Beginning Feb. 27 and each following Monday through Apr. 3 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Brenda Williams, a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery, will offer six group sessions using the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM), a music-oriented exploration of consciousness. These sessions are free.

Combining music, imagery, and scripture is a wonderful way to help people develop a deeper awareness of God’s Word. In addition, Brenda is a board-certified music therapist with Four Seasons Compassion for Life. Those who cannot be present for all sessions are invited to come to as many as they are able. The focus each week will be on the Lectionary lessons for the following Sunday.

Please register by Feb. 20 by calling Sue Filson at the church 828-693-4890 ext. 304 or by registering online.
