This group will meet the second Thursday of the month October through December to inform, share and encourage those age 60+ who have a chronic condition, or those who care for someone who has a chronic condition. Our purpose is to help with self-management using creative, practical strategies to nurture mind, body and spirit.
We will provide a safe place for listening to concerns and for expressing needs. The group will explore the questions: What do we want to grow (encouragement, education, support, strength, healthy coping, honesty, openness)? What needs to be weeded out (loneliness, depression, anxiety, overwhelming feelings, fear, fatigue)?
Co-facilitators Karen Wolfrom, MSA, RNC, CMC, and Vicki Marthaler, Chaplain, have more than 30 years of combined experience helping people and their loved ones.
Classes will take place 1-3 p.m., Thursdays Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. There is no cost for the class. Register at least one week prior to the meeting by calling the church office at 828-693-4890 ex. 304 or register online at http://bit.ly/grace-seeds.
Grace Lutheran Church is located at the corner of Sixth Avenue West and Blythe Street in Hendersonville.
