Welcome to God’s family, Wylie Danner! We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Baptism for Wylie at the 9:45 a.m. service on Feb. 25. His parents are Chris & Kyndall Danner and proud big brother is Jett. We welcome Pastor Josh Tucker, family friend, officiating Wylie’s baptism this morning.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry continues to share God’s love and the support of our Congregation. For 2017, over 200 shawls and blankets were given. Feb 25, we bless the prayer shawls, prayer squares, and baby blankets created over the last three months.  Contact Skip Andersen or Lori Schaefer to learn or to contribute to this ministry.

First Communion Training: March 4, 3-5 p.m., and March 18. First Communion milestone celebrated March 29, 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday. Speak to Ms. Jill or one of the pastors if you feel your child is ready for communion.

GYM – Grace Youth Ministry (6th-12th Grade)

GYM participates in LYO Assembly: NC Lutheran Youth Organization Retreat in Greensboro, NC. Pray for our 32 youth and guides attending this weekend of fellowship with other Lutheran teens in our state. The theme for this year’s event is “Love like Jesus” and focuses on 1 John 3:16. Thank you Grace family for providing this experience.

New Book Study – March 4-25, Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Pastor McKenzie leads “Finding God in Loneliness.” The study assures of us of “God’s power to redeem our loneliness and use it in our lives to draw us to himself.”

  • Building and Grounds– Mow grass or trim shrubs. Adopt a garden to beautify!

Special youth LYO presentation – sharing stories and videos from their retreat. Lunch directly follow 11:15 a.m. worship, see the Sign-up Station to attend. Menu: spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. Good news! Lunch is provided by our parents and served by our youth; cost of lunch is free! Donations go to the Grace Youth Ministry Investment Fund. Library Book Donations No Longer Accepted

Our library is full. Preschool’s Free Little Library accepts recently published novels and children’s books. Take to the public library or a charity resale shop. Recycle books that are musty/mildew/moldy or older than 15 years.
