What's Happening at Grace Lutheran Preschool

On Sept. 3, 2024, our first day of preschool, Grace Lutheran Preschool will celebrate its 40th birthday!  It is fitting in this momentous year that we will begin school with a record-breaking number of children attending our Preschool for this Fall -112!  We are truly blessed!

July and August Summer Camp was so much fun this year!  We were graced with many field trip presenters that included the following: Science Week- The “Chicken Lady” Lauren Kaisoglus from Fruitland Farmstead taught the children the care and feeding of chickens and introduced them to archeology and Erin Foster presented an erupting volcano experiment.  For Ocean’s Week, Ami Service streamed-in the Atlanta Aquarium and the Monterey Bay Aquarium so the children could see ocean animals in real-time.  I dressed up in my diving gear and introduced them to the fun of diving.  For Camping week, David Bollen from Camp Takoa, showed the children many types of activities that they could do at camp including kayaking, caving, and climbing.  Every Tuesday and Thursday, Ju Ju Wilkie taught Australian animal yoga and created a Wednesday Song Day with her ukulele buddy Joann.  Kayleigh Vomberg and her Kindergarten Campers raised over $250 for St. Jude’s Hospital with their lemonade stand.  Thank you, kind Grace Church members, for your financial gifts to St. Jude.  Mary Apicella was a great Olympic gymnastics inspiration with her fun balancing challenges.  We are so grateful to our talented parents and staff for sharing their interests.  It was contagious!

1)      Re-link your Ingles or Harris Teeter cards- The Preschool receives free supplies when you relink your cards each year.  It is no cost to you and every time you shop, we get credit for supplies based on what is purchased. Re-linking must be done each year.
